Beijing Dentsu Won 15 Awards in the 24th China International Advertising Festival

From October 20th to 23rd, 2017, the 24th China International Advertising Festival was held in Changsha. Beijing Dentsu won 2 Gold, 1 Silver, 2 Bronze and 10 outstanding awards.

 

In the evening of the 21st of October, Beijing Dentsu won 2 Gold and 1 Silver awards at the 2017 China Advertising Great-wall Awards- Interactive Creative Awards & Media Marketing Awards ceremony. The work Walk for Love won the Interactive Creative Awards - Charity Category Gold Award, Sonic Sweetener was awarded the Media Marketing Awards- Non-Media Gold Award, the Panasonic Shaver LAMDASH Kiss Lesson won the Interactive Creative Awards Viral Videos Category Silver Award.

In China, there are an average of up to 70,000 pieces of rubbish on each square kilometer on the beach, the waste pollution on the beach is shocking. Beijing Dentsu is concerned about the environmental issues and thus created a public service advertising Walk for Love. We design and produce a special beach slippers, their sole patterns are words that praise the sea and advocate for people not to litter. These slippers are distributed to the guests of beachside hotels for free. When they wear the slippers, and walk on the beach, they would become advocates and participants of environmental protection of the beach. We also use WIFI to regularly push information on trash bin locations on the beach to tourists and guide everyone to find the nearest trash bin, as the final step of our beach environmental protection campaign. Since the campaign was carried out, it has prompted many beach tourists to clean up trash actively, and the beach's environment has improved a lot. Through a fun and interesting way, we use our own creativity to provide solutions for social problems.

Another Gold Award-winning work, Sonic Sweetener, is a unique cup-shaped device co-developed by Beijing Dentsu CDC China and Oxford University. Excessive sugar intake has become a global problem, in order to solve this problem, we worked with sound designers, analyzed and combined chords, tones and audio, to developed the "Sonic Sweetener." In the famous coffee chain Shanghai Xin Café, while drinking a beverage, the “Sonic Sweetener" would play a “special" melody that can enable people to focus on the sweet flavor of the drink. In this way, people will find the beverage tastes sweeter than it actually does, thus reduce sugar intake. The campaign raised a lot of attention, and participation in the discussion has reached as many as 4 million people. Among the consumers who used the “Sonic Sweetener”, 63% of consumers who use Sonic Sweetener feel their drinks sweeter, and 68% of consumers become more aware of the harm of excessive intake of sugar on the health.

The Silver Award-winning work - The Panasonic Shaver LAMDASH Kiss Lesson is a campaign that Beijing Dentsu Shanghai Branch created for the Panasonic Shaver. In China, 81% of the women felt tickled by men's beards while kissing, so they are the best people to evaluate the shaver. Inspired by this, Shanghai Branch created the Panasonic Shaver Kiss Lesson, where men can use the Panasonic Shaver to create a clean face and take advantage of various opportunities in life to surprise and care for girls. The campaign relies on the influence of the spokesmen Gao Yunxiang, as well as a series of fun videos about kissing, to give an intuitive display of the features of the Panasonic Shaver product to the consumer.

At the China Advertising Great-wall Awards, Beijing Dentsu's works Walk for Love and Panasonic Shaver LAMDASH Kiss Lesson won another two Bronze Awards.

In the last two years, Beijing Dentsu's creative capability has been enhanced fast. In 2017, we won the ADFEST Gold Award for the first time, and were nominated for international awards for the first time. At the global, regional and local events, we have won a total of 2 Grand Prix awards, 10 Gold Awards, 11 Silver Awards, 15 Bronze Awards. Based on these performances, Beijing Dentsu ranked 7th on the "Campaign Brief Asia 2017 creative list", moving up 14 position compared to last year.
