2017 National Excellent College Students Summer Camp Visit Beijing Dentsu

On July 18, 2017, the representatives from the 2017 National Excellent Students Summer Camp visited Beijing Dentsu. The camp held by the Beijing Technology and Business University Art and Media College. The representatives included over 40 students and teachers from 31 schools.




Akimasa Baba, CEO of Beijing Dentsu, gave a welcome speech. He firstly welcomed all the teachers and students visiting Beijing Dentsu, and then he introduced the close relationship between Dentsu and universities in China, he said: "Since 1996, Dentsu has been supporting Chinese advertising education, carrying out in-depth cooperation with six universities in China, sending the Japanese lecturers to China for sharing, and recruiting university teachers for further studies in Japan. Also, the Dentsu China's Advertising Talent Training Fund Project launched in 2005 has benefitted more teachers and students of China's universities. In recognition of the company's contribution for China's advertising education, the Ministry of Education of China has awarded Dentsu as the Best Partner for 3 consecutive years." When he shared his working experience of China, he said: "before coming to China, I already had the impression that it is a market full of vitality, and as I arrived here, I was shocked by the rapidly developing market. I believe in the Chinese market, all of you will have unlimited possibilities to show your abilities." In the end, Akimasa Baba hoped that the students would fully feel the charm of Beijing Dentsu through today's activities.

Wu Zheng, Associate PR Director, gave a comprehensive introduction of Beijing Dentsu from company's situation and works, including history, accomplishments, clients and cases. During the creative sharing session, Chen Jianhao, GCD of the 1st Business Division told the students what is brand insights through a series of vivid examples: "brand insights are like having a love relationship, first you need to create attraction, and then slowly develop feelings, the last step is the most difficult one - be faithful, which means the willingness of working with the brands for a long time. Through this exquisite insight, change attitudes and change consumer habits." Then, he introduced some of Beijing Dentsu's works: TCL- Bring Love Home, Dongfeng Citroen-FAMI-NAVI, Shanghai Xintiandi-RE_PIZZA, FUJIFILM-Picture Book without Pictures and so on, to give students a deep understanding of Beijing Dentsu's strength. Chen Jianhao's humorous language and simple explanations aroused students' interest.

In the Q&A session, the teachers and students exchanged ideas with the lecturer in terms of how to create satisfying work, the application of big data in the market and the effects of different urban development speeds on the media and other topics.

Finally, the PR Director Zhang Mu led students to visit Beijing Dentsu's public areas and introduced the awards that the company has achieved over the years. Gao Lihua, Vice President of the Beijing Technology and Business University Art and Media College, said it had been a satisfying visit and a beneficial experience for the summer camp students.

Finally, the PR Director Zhang Mu led students to visit Beijing Dentsu's public areas and introduced the awards that the company has achieved over the years. Gao Lihua, Vice President of the Beijing Technology and Business University Art and Media College, said it had been a satisfying visit and a beneficial experience for the summer camp students.
